I joined RMTC in 2006 when I started to work in a Montessori School. Everyone made me feel welcome and inspired me through the lessons they delivered. I remember my wish was to become the best Montessori Teacher.
Since then, after I took my exams, I applied for and have worked as a Classroom Montessori teacher and worked at the different nurseries that are part of Rainbow. At this moment I am the Head Teacher of West Hampstead Rainbow Nursery and have grown as an experienced Montessori teacher.

I trained in the Montessori method of teaching 6-9yrs at Rainbow Montessori Training College (RMTC) in 2000. I had at this time been a practicing Montessori teacher for many years with 3-6 year olds at Rainbow Montessori School.
I wanted to further my knowledge and understanding and was lucky enough to have inspiring tutors who spurred me on with their enthusiasm, knowledge and practical advice. Since then I have enjoyed working with children from 3-9years, each day is a new learning experience not only for the children but also for me too!
I began the Part–Time Early Childhood Diploma in 2010 with RMTC. Doing the course Part-Time enabled me to work whilst studying. The tutors/lecturers were very welcoming and always supportive, answering any questions/queries that I had. The delivery of the lectures was very hands-on and inspired me to be creative with my teaching.
I was employed by a nursery while completing my Teaching Practice, which enabled me to really engage and purposefully plan for the children. The International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy qualification has led me now to be working as a manager in a Nursery in North West London.

I studied at RMTC in 2012 and I found the Montessori Pedagogy (2.5 – 6 years) course really interesting and life-changing.
I loved the way I was able to fit it in around my full time job in advertising.
Learning about the Montessori philosophy was the driving factor in taking the leap from advertising to embark on this new journey. I have used my diploma to get a job at Rainbow Montessori Junior School teaching 4-6 year olds and am finding real fulfilment in what I do!
I studied with RMTC in (West Hampstead) in 2009 and gained my International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy. It is a qualification I am very proud of and which enabled me to obtain immediate employment!
I can recommend training at RMTC:
It is well suited to my lifestyle (change of career, mother of young child, hours of college attendance)
Friendly and supportive tutors
Course was thorough, covering all aspects of Montessori Phylosophy.
Great access to classroom environment and materials
High standard of teaching and respectful of Montessori philosophy
Made lifelong friendships with fellow students
There is no doubt the course is hard work!…..but I have an immensely rewarding job and feel proud to keep the Montessori philosophy alive in 21st Century.
Rainbow Montessori College is a great college the teachers are great with the students. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to train as a Montessori teacher to go to Rainbow.
My time at RMTC was a very happy one, all tutors were encouraging & supportive and the lessons were always interesting & interactive. Also, I have made some friends for life……I miss RMTC
My time at Rainbow will be remembered with immense fondness. The classes were small which allowed the teachers to give students individual attention and the teaching was b. There was a real sense of ‘family’. I l LOVED my time there and would recommend it to everyone.
I think the fact that I recommended the course to two of my colleagues, Midie and Lucia, speaks for itself! I think it really is a life-changing experience, and I really found the feedback and support I got to be very useful in guiding me in my future career.
It is not easy, but I would say it has been worth the effort. One of the things I have taken from the course is the idea of reflective practice, so I am continuing to work on improving myself as a teacher.
The course has been essential in helping me as a parent as well as a teacher. From understanding how children develop and learn, through to teaching children literacy and numeracy, as well as knowledge and understanding on the world. The Montessori Philosophy is fantastic at explaining abstract theories and ideas to children in real concrete terms so enabling them to have a real understanding of the world around them.”
Training at Rainbow was perfect for me as a mother as it meant that I could study part time in the evening, so giving me the flexibility I need.
